As a dedicated special education teacher with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in working with students who have language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. My approach centers on delivering an evidence-based, structured, and multisensory reading program. I am committed to providing individualized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs—supporting their growth in reading and spelling while fostering confidence and self-belief. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student gain the skills they once struggled with and realizing they are capable of so much more.

In addition to working directly with students, I also support parents by providing information on the most effective interventions and strategies to help their child, as well as guidance on how they can advocate for their child’s educational needs. Navigating the school system can be overwhelming for families, so I assist them in understanding the services and support their child may be entitled to, addressing both academic and behavioral challenges.

Currently, I work as a learning disabilities consultant and private reading tutor based in Westchester County, New York.
