How I Can Support Your Child’s Learning Journey
Guiding Parents, Supporting Students
Learning challenges are not barriers, rather stepping stones to growth. Every child has unique abilities, and with the right educational support, success is within reach.

Connect your child with the right support and resources they need to succeed in school and reach their full potential.
Dyslexia Consultant
As a Dyslexia Consultant, I partner with parents to understand their concerns and goals for their child’s education. I provide support for both classified children as well as those struggling with learning and are not yet classifed. Through in-depth conversations and a careful review of key documents such as the IEP (If they have one), evaluations, report cards, and work samples I create a clear, personalized action plan. This plan includes specific academic, behavioral, and attentional strategies and interventions tailored to the child’s strengths and weaknesses. After reviewing the child’s IEP I offer detailed recommendations for adjustments to this document that will better address their individual needs. This plan helps parents confidently advocate for the services and support their child needs, working toward a positive and successful school experience.
After parents have reviewed the report, we will schedule a follow-up meeting to discuss the recommendations, address any questions, and ensure they feel confident collaborating with their child’s school.
Ways I Support Parents Through the School Year:
I provide consulting services for parents of students with learning difficulties at key points during the school year to help them feel informed, empowered, and confident in their child’s educational journey.
Beginning of the School Year
We will lay the groundwork for a strong and successful start by reviewing your child’s IEP, preparing to communicate with school staff, and identifying any early concerns or adjustments that may be needed.
If your child is not yet classified, we’ll discuss the challenges they’re experiencing, their specific needs, and the types of support that could help them thrive in the classroom.
Mid-Year Check-In
At this point in the school year we will ask questions: Are the current supports effective? Is your child making progress towards their IEP goals? Together we will discuss whether services are meeting your child’s needs and explore any necessary changes to support their growth.
End of the School Year
We will prepare for the annual IEP meeting by reviewing the year’s progress, setting goals for the upcoming school year, and helping to develop an appropriate draft IEP.

How I Support Parents Throughout the School Year
As a consultant for parents of students with learning disabilities, I provide guidance and support at key points in the school year. My goal is to help parents feel informed, empowered, and confident as you navigate your child’s educational journey.
Start of the School Year: Laying the Foundation
We begin the year by setting your child up for success. This includes reviewing their current IEP (if they have one), identifying early concerns, and planning for effective communication with teachers and school staff.
If your child is not classified, we’ll discuss your observations, concerns, and the supports you believe are essential for your child’s learning.
Mid-Year Check-In: Monitoring Progress
Midway through the school year, we pause to ask:
Are the current supports working?
Is your child making progress toward their IEP goals?
Are any changes needed?
We’ll reflect on what’s working and what may need adjustment to ensure your child continues to grow.
End of the School Year: Preparing for the New School Year
As the year ends, we’ll focus on preparing for your child’s annual IEP meeting. Together, we’ll review their progress, set goals for the upcoming year, and identify key priorites to help shape a strong draft IEP that supports your child’s success.

Monitoring Student Progress- Progress monitoring is built into every lesson. During each lesson I assess how the student’s skills and understanding of concepts are progressing. This progress monitoring allows me to diagnostically plan for the following lessons and to pace appropriately. We progress to the next substep when the student has achieved mastery.
